District 26 also has a valid license for those freqs, WPUK474, expiring in 2012.

District 26 is Greenwater, about 20 miles east of Enumscratch.

The licensed freqs are the standard Pierce County freqs.

I bought a handheld VHF radio off eBay, and one of the frequencies programmed in was Enumclaw-related. If I remember correctly, it was 168.725. If I remembered wrong it would've been 154.445, 154.265, or 158.895. I never figured out exactly who it was; I listened one day, and the addresses I heard were:

I think there was also some talk about a library another day. Funny thing is that I can only hear them from the radio, and not on my scanner. Even with a VHF antenna.

IIRC, 155.055 with a PL tone of 146.2 is Enumclaw DPW or utilities. They're always yakking, turning power on/off, service calls, etc.

While Enumclaw uses 155.055 simplex (155.05 is a typo error) Tukwila uses 155.055 as an input to 154.115 R. Puyallup also has access to 155.055 ( and 158.745, 158.955). You also forgot the Enumclaw Hospital on 155.34, School District on 155.265, Enumclaw Golf Course on 452.0875 M, 457.0875 M, the Enumclaw Quarry on 151.865, Cascade Towing on 160.125 R, and the Pierce County Security on 452.00 R.

Public works, and the old PD tac-5/explorers (pre-trunking).

155.055 is the old Fair-Comm for PFD EMS at the fair, now primarily on a trunked talkgroup (528)

158.745 is the old Puyallup Public Works freq, now they're on a trunked talkgroup.

158.955 is the old Puyallup PD F-3, for car-to-car, and used by School Security, Explorers, etc. Now trunked.

I've yet to hear them on there. They primarily use 151.925 (118.8 )

Re: 155.050

I too felt it was a bad freq, but check out the freqs listed on this license:

http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSear ... ey=1255873

They show an FX1 on 155.050

Go figure...

It is a "typo" error. A close look shows only a single control station listed on 155.05 - but no mobile units, which are listed on 155.055 ( WNWD-586 ). The City FD is on 155.88 ( KOL-882 ).

Do Enumclaw PD and FD trunk on these frequencies then?

No; those are convetional. They use the 800 trunked system that the rest of King County is on.

I guess I'm confused. They still use these old VHF freqs in addition to trunking in the 800MHz band?

I guess you can tell that I'm new to Enumscratch. :)

Can you steer me to a place with info on how to set up my old Trunktracker 885XLT so I can listen to EPD and EFD? I programmed it for Seattle FD and PD when I first bought that scanner, about ten years ago. I think I can remember how to program frequencies into it, but I'm not sure how to specify only Enumclaw channels in the trunked system nor do I know what fleet map I should use for south King County. (I hope I'm not straying too far off topic with these questions/requests.)

Thanks.

Does anyone have the Enumclaw FD numbers?

Also, how are the Enumclaw PD identified; ie: Auburn units are Adam, Black Diamond are Boy units, etc.

Many thanks,
Wayne

Enumclaw has it's own dispatch center. I don't think they use any specific designators, because AFAIK they only have one fire station and one police station.

Enumclaw dispatch doesn't have the ability to patch talkgroups. If Valleycom dispatched units respond to an Enumclaw incident or vice versa, Enumclaw dispatch has to call Valleycom and request a patch.

I just picked up fire traffic on 32048. The BC-885XLT won't do trunked, and I have no idea if the VHF patches are still in place.
