Can anyone shed some light on why Cencom (Kitsap Co) has switched North/South freqs?
Is it permanent?

(Hope not, 'cause I get a lot of interference on the north freq.)

The LE1 output (155.685) that had been used for south dispatch had problems because an adjacent channel used by Fife PD was very strong in some parts of southern Kitsap County. The LE2 output (155.430) that was used in the northern part of Kitsap County did not have this issue, so they swapped the purposes of these channels. LE2 became the main channel for the southern and central areas, while LE1 became the main channel for the northern area. It's expected to be permanent.

Thanks for the info, hopefully my interefence problems will abate. (I notice that reception varies significantly as we go from one season to the next.)
