Left the house around 0900 headed to the Yakima Training Center on an invite to attend an exercise and demonstrate SIGINT. Spent a bunch of time there, and was told that, though I had been invited to spend the night, it wasn't gonna happen. A late lunch in Yakima, and headed to Ellensburg for the night. Little did I know Tom Petty is throwing a big show there tonight, so there were no hotel rooms available. Figured I'd check out the Jack Creek fire someone paged me about, so I headed to Leavenworth. Guess what? No room at the inn there either. Ah well, back over US-2 and headed home...500 miles later.
