It looks like in the newest minutes posted on Central Pierce's website that they won't be able to get the 800 system together by 10/1/08, when they're supposed to switch to Tacoma Fire for dispatch services. They reference using their "backup plan," which is Pierce County DEM F-4. Does anybody know what that channel is? And I find it a little amazing that they're going to be going to a system where they have 1 VHF channel to operate on. Seems like a big step backwards. Hope they don't have multiple incidents at once! |

From my history of listening to Central Pierce, they usually do have multiple major incidents going at the same time. Nick |

I'm going to hazard a guess that F-4 is the normal FireComm channel 154.265. |

DEM 4 is 45.74 low band. Some fire dude just got the channel wrong. It might be 153.77 or 153.83. |
