I'm hearing Island County Sheriff units on 453.0500 as a repeater with a tone of 100.0. Nothing is heard on their usual frequency of 453.6750. Does anybody know if they made a frequency switch, or is it maybe just temporary?

Looking at the FCC records, it appears most of the 453.6750 licenses for Island County have been terminated.

Looks like the licence I was looking at was cancelled back in 2002. i just found the active licenses for 453.6750 under Whatcom County, for several different repeaters. Guess the 453.0500 was just a temporary thing.

453.050 *may* be the LE TAC frequency I occasionally hear them talk about. If Main (453.675) is closed, the dispatcher will say "all other units go to LE TAC". I never identified that frequency, since it's so seldom used.

453.050 used to be used as the Oak Harbor PD primary, but they switched long ago. Perhaps they maintained the repeaters as a "back up"?

I'll have to put it in and listen...

While they were on 453.0500 the other day, I heard dispatch mention something about switching to Cultus LE TAC to one of the units. Both dispatch & unit were talking on 453.0500 but through different repeaters.

I guess it makes sense that 453.0500 is the Law Enforcement Tac (LE TAC) and looking at FCC database, it has 4 different locations. So I guess there are different repeaters for the TAC channel.
