Today while listening to SPD TAC 2 about 12 45 I heard someone come on the radio from Seattle water and say something about copper pipe. The Police dispatcher then came on and told everyone to disregard and that the transmission was bleed over. How is it possible in a trunked system for it to bleed over and come through on a talk group I D ? Just Curious

For lack of any other term, most of the users have been calling it "bleed over". Don't take that as an official diagnosis of the problem.

For the past few weeks, the King County Radio system has been experiencing that abnomally. It sounds like audio from a talkgroup is riding on the coat-tail of legitimate users on the monitored talkgroup, and will remain on a channel for several seconds after the "legitimate" user un-keys the radio. It hasn't been widespread - but it does happen about once or twice a day.

I have not heard an "official" reason for the problem - hell, maybe no one is working on it at all....
