April 22nd residents of Pierce County Fire District #1 and the city of Sumner will be voting on whether or not they want to annex into East Pierce Fire and Rescue. Also residents of East Pierce will also be voting on whether or not they want District #1 and Sumner to annex into the district. Nick Welch |

Sumner and Pierce County Fire District #1 are served by East Pierce Fire and Rescue through a contract. This vote will be annexing the City of Sumner Fire Department/Pierce County Fire District #1 into East Pierce Fire and Rescue.
