Can anyone point me to where I can find some info out about this district? I'd like to know if they have a website and who they are dispatched by.

Thanks....

I don't know of a website but I believe they are dispatched by Eastside Communications in Bellevue.

They also used to use 154.085 (107.2) as a tactical channel.

Ok. A bit confused. Is Eastside Bellevue dispatch not trunk?

Eastside Communications does provide Fire/EMS dispatch services to Skykomish Fire District #50. That district (along with Snoqualmie Pass Fire) decided that they would rather stay on VHF for operations and paging. So, Eastside Communications does still support various "legacy" 154.190 transmitters around the area to support those two departments. As I recall, the 154.190 sites are:

Sobieski (above Skykomish)
Snoqualmie Pass
Rattlesnake
Water Tower (in the middle of Sammamish)
And another one...don't recall the location.

There's also a .190 transmitter in Preston.

Skykomish Fire has 3 engines, all of which used to belong to Redmond. They're all Seagrave rigs. They used to have a former Woodinville engine and an old Redmond Crown Firecoach up until about 5 or 6 years ago. They're actually pretty busy in the winter, mainly with calls up at Stevens Pass and wrecks on Highway 2.

There is a squelch tone to separate Sky from Preston.
If you run an open sqelch, you'll hear Sky plus other east side fire depts. Sorry, I can't recall what the tone is though.
I monitored years ago when the medi-vac roto iced and hard landed around Baring. Same pilot who was lost in the Sound.
Side note, train buffs will enjoy the Sky area for train monitoring and the train history of the area.

I was on the Medic unit for that call.

Anyway, Station 294, and 295... Monroe used to do lots of Mutual aid with them during the winter. Now Goldbar with thier Vol Medic units handle the bulk of it.

Dist 50 does not like to transport, and it seems does whatever they can to palm them off on Sno Co.

The only time you see a dist 50 rig in Monroe anymore, is when they need to stop by albertsons and stock up for the winter.
