not too sure, i do know we were getting alot of bleed over from whidby island, so i'm sure that has something to do with it, i got the frequencies off of the fcc database, long before i found out that we'd be changing..

The bleed over is bad halfway up Bell Hill! It would make sense to give District 3 their own freq, appreciate the response.

Not necessarily bleed over. Clallam County (Sequim Fire, I believe) and Island County FD3 (South Whidbey) are co-channel users. Even with ICOM using the Low Level site on Cultus Bay Road, I'm guessing that it can be heard pretty well over there in Clallam County - since it's a water shot across there.

When both areas have fire responses going, I can hear the Clallam County traffic underneath the South Whidbey traffic. And ICOM certainly hears it - they generally have to have field units repeat their traffic. And, it doesn't help that both agencies are probably tone-guarded, and not normally hearing the other traffic (S. Whidbey uses 100hz).

Is is not very often that both agencies are using the frequency at the same time - however, there is always possibility of missed traffic. So, hopefully the new allocations will fix that problem.

thnx for the refreasher T68, i forgot that whidby is a co-channel user, an yes it can be heard pretty well here even in PA i pick it up on the minitor 5, and you are correct CCFD 3 is '' Sequim Fire '' which covers from JeffCo line to Deer Park Rd going into Port Angeles

With my scanner, I couldn't tell if it was bleed over or co-existance. Regardless, moving either FD to another freq is the right way to go.

155.7825 is the primary system output. Narrowband.

Island Co got .175 as a tac channel but I guess they lost another primary and had to go on as primary a few years ago.

Anyone who knows- are the newer scanners coming out with a provision for narrow channels yet?

Just a quick look here but the frequencies don't add up! The VHF narrowband splits are .0075 vs. the old .015. If you add .0075 to 154.0325, it should come up to 154.0400, which is the correct sequence. The 154.0335 doesn't fit in! Just a thought!

My BC-T15 and Pro 97 both do!

well TMF, thats what i was informed plus the licenses they have are for those frequencies, so i don't know, was just passing on some info that came down the pipe

It wasn't a criticism! I'm just saying, I would be skeptical of that frequency as it doesn't fit the sequence. And actually, if you try and enter the 154.0335 frequency in your scanner, it will probably default to .0325 like mine just did when I, for curiousity sake, tried to enter it in my Pro 97.

I wasn't taken it as a criticism, sorry if you thought i was, i did go back an look at the info i got, Tac 3 is a brand new freq with those splits course it's only 5 watts, unless it was a typo in the E-Mail i don't know, guess i'll just have to plug it in and see what happens, but if i do get an update on it i'll post it..

Well, this time I actually looked at the frequencies...

154.010 is the old SNOCOM fire dispatch. They stopped using it a couple of years ago, and are fully 800mhz and digital paging.

154.385 is the old Everett Fire Dispatch Frequency. I believe they pulled the plug on this one earlier this year (Ken?).

Nice to see that some of these frequencies are getting re-used by other agencies that really need the elbow room....

154.0335 isn't licenced to Clallam County Fire, 154.0325 is. Must have been a mistake in posting.

The rest of the frequencies line up with the right step increments. I am assuming the 154.0325 is a simplex frequency, not a repeater.

I heard the new repeater last week being tested (155.7825) with a tone of 123.0 the input was 154.0100. Guess there are 3 different repeater sites (Sequim Fire Hall, State Patrol Office & "Ocean", which appears to be Cape George area of Jefferson County. Sounded like the radios automatically choose the repeater that comes in the strongest. I dont know if anybody else heard this, as the repeater sounded a bit muffled to me. I had it in NFM mode, and the voices sounded fine on the input frequency, but not on the output repeater frequency.
