WHEERS Washington Hospital and EMS Emergency Radio System It is a statewide medical net of 463mhz repeaters linked through the WSP microwave system to various hospital ER's WHEERS is used to coordinate the activity of airborne or mobile medical personnel with hospital emergency rooms located throughout the state. The conversations of medical personnel occurring on WHEERS will now be broadcast statewide when medical personnel activate any one radio. This will allow statewide coordination of medical response. WHEERS is a key asset for statewide interoperability between medical personnel and hospitals. WHEERS radios were installed and are maintained by WSP Senior Telecommunication Specialists. |

So if I understand this system, all you'd need to do is program the FB (Fixed Base?) locations and you;d hear the traffic? No need to monitor the Mobiles? Thanks |

just now monitored MED-NET/Medcom 1, 463.0000 (179.9), noted unknown rotor craft (could not catch ID but not Lifeflight) departing Friday Harbor enroute Bellingham with 20 minute eta than also arrvinng Bellingham. Heard both sides of this repeated conversation full quieting. This is not unusual except that I am in Spokane. I do not believe this to be ducting as I could hear a second repeater drop behind it. |

Yes, the 179.9 tone seems to work everywhere(rx decode?) as I hear it in Olympia as well. Been hearing Airlift 5 on 463.025 but usually just the helo side of the conversation, using 179.9. |
