Does anybody have the SPD Wireless Mic Freqs. That the officers wear that are trasmitted back to there cars for the video cameras. Or are they digital and we are out of luck. |

Unless a law has changed, WA has a 'two party' consent law; reference voice recordings. Which means 'voice' traffic is not/ cannot recorded w/o the other parties consent. This was the way it was set up when (B4 I retired) I had the camera equipment in the 'work' car. |

Somebody should bring that up with the Whitman County & Asotin County Sheriffs Offices. Whitman County uses 173.3125 (M) KUI-501, and Asotin County uses WRB-424 on 173.3375 (M). Or --- Maybe they go by Idaho rules -- since they are so close to Idaho. LOL LOL |

Yeah, I know it is a obscure law, and kinda hard to interpret. But this is what the 'brass' ruled at my agency. I'm all for it. I think if you 'say' this 'stop' (e.g.) is being recorded it makes it legal. It's been a while. Re: Asotin SO, I used to run around with thier first female deputy. She was as tall as me. Mmmm. |

the Outlaw you are correct. All that need be done is to make the advisement that this stop is being recorded. This only applies to traffic stops being recorded with BOTH audio and video. |
