Going 'autocrossing' at Pacific Raceways (the old SIR) in Kent on Sunday, and the only info I have is a very old notation of 151.955 (141.3pl) for general operations.

Anyone care to add some freqs?

Well, the race day came and went, and though I had a blast and took a lot of great photos and video, I didn't take a radio.

Too bad though. The racing instruction guys were all carrying UHF handhelds with 16 channel layouts taped to them, and the track security presonnel and admin guys were carrying VHF radios, that looked to have 6-channel layouts attached. I'm going to try and do and RX-pedition up there tomorrow or Thursday morning; stay tuned.

Well, I spent a few hours there this morning and got zilch.

I watched one of the pit guys wander around, talking on his radio...He even took it off his belt, consulted the channel diagram, changed channels and continued talking on his radio...Just to mock me.

450-470= Nothing

470-512= Nothing

851-866= Nothing

935-940= Nothing

Did I mention NOTHING.

The only thing I can think of it some sort of spread-spectrum? It IS a racing team, so they'd want some sort of security on their radios...They certainly have the funds to achieve something like that...And oddly enough, every bit of radio traffic I overheard on Sunday began with a beep tone, not unlike the tone indicating a secure hopping connection or a securely encrypted connection, as I've used in the past.

They should be there tomorrow, for one last day if anyone else wants to give it a try.
