Post subject: | Sno-County TRS System |
I need to get a figure on whats up with my Sno-TRS. These are the following freqs i have programmed in for the system on my Uniden BC 780xlt 866.2625 866.7750 866.8000 866.8250 867.1750 867.2000 867.4125 867.9375 868.3375 151.8650 867.6750 868.3625 868.3875 868.5875 868.6125 868.7500 868.9250 I have the very same ones in my RS Pro-97 with the RS 800 Mhz. antenna and the systems works just perfect! I get nothing , Not a peep from the BC 780xlt. What might be the issue? I have checked several things and everything seems to be in place including the setting as Mot Type 2 800 etc.. I have the conventional freq as a break in between the East and West freqs. is this the issue perhaps? I was told to do this when i programmed it about a year ago. But i have the exact same set up in my Pro-97 and it works fine.. All my other systems (King co, Eastside Trs and City of Seattle) work fine.. I'm in Woodinville if that helps.. Thanks |

I have the 780 also but had not programmed it lately for any new trunking systems. When SERS starting using 867.175 as a control channel, I couldn't get it to work. I had to go to the manual to be reminded that I needed navigate to the channel with the 867.175 freq and then hold down the TRUNK button for about two seconds. Then the M showed up in the display on that freq indicating it had been properly programmed as a trunking freq. BTW, I'm just put in control channels on the 780 and then choose CONTROL CHANNEL ONLY MODE as opposed to putting in each separate frequency. So, navigate your 780 to the control channels and check your display. If it just says TRUNK and not M TRUNK then you haven't programmed the TRUNK key properly. Let me know if that was the problem. Thanks for all the good info, but unfortunately still having the same issues. It takes forever to find the CC and then when it does all the TG comms are very scratchy and it seems like it loses the CC often causes it to just run thru the freqs. yet when its in Trunking mode, if you press the manual button wich brings it out of that trunking mode you hear the BRRRRRAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPP of the CC, so not sure as of yet whats up. Possibly I am in an odd area to recieve it well. Doesn't make sense though as I am in the Heart of woodinville, right near the county line actually... :( |

East, or West Simulcast? I flip back and forth between East/West, and if I run up the valley I can use Deer Creek IR. I used to program mine the way you do with both systems broken by a conventional freq.... I dont do that anymore. When I goto work in Everett I have to switch back to West if I do not want to hear the static/crackle, but since I live in Monroe, I mainly stay on the East for crystal clear transmissions. |

Post subject: | Not hearing any talk groups, advise |
I had a problem once not hearing any talk groups and could not figure out what was wrong, so deleted all the freqs. and reprogramed them and that solved the problem. Kind of like re-booting on a computer. |
