IS Everett PD going to switch to the East trunk system?Or are they simulcasting on it the last few days I have been picking up Everett PD on the East system I don't know about Everett fire |

It's not a matter of them "switching" to the East Simulcast. The East Simulcast was engineered to cover most of Snohomish County outside the Everett/Mill Creek/Mukilteo/Lynnwood/Edmonds/Mountlake Terrace area. It would be a BAD THING for Everett PD to depend on East Simulcast for their operations. What *may* have happened is that the system administrators have allowed the Everett talkgroups to be active on both East and West Simulcast to address some kind of coverage issue. So, if a field radio decided that the East Simulcast system is providing better coverage at that moment, then it will switch over to East - and at the same time, bringing that TG's radio traffic over with them.
