Has anyone followed the jiwn lately? Im just wondering if cbp has made the jump to that network yet I can still copy thier 163.625 but I havent heard traffic on thier other freq in the past while. I understand that the jiwn is p25 digital and probably encrypted but Im just wondering if anyone has noted other tgids. |

I know they have been having serious repeater interference problems on 163.6750. They were constantly changing over to 163.6250. Maybe they have given up on using 675 altogether. I havent heard anything recently on any of the JIWN sites. |

CBP is still using their legacy system of DNET. BP and the 3 small town police departments along the border are using 163.625. Correctly noted above the 163.675 (Sumas Repeater) is plagued with problems. Their is talk of going to the digital repeater on Galbraith, however no word yet as to when agencies will be switching to IWIN. |

Anyone know what the problem is with the 163.675 rpt . I can't believe something that vital would take that long to fix unless they are replacing it soon . |

The LA Harbor / San Pedro Marine Operator on 161.90 was bombing out the local Secret Service channel --. It only took 8 months and 4 agencies to get the problem fixed. And if it wasn't for the local radio techs -- it still might not be done. Money and paperwork has a lot of weight. |
