What is going on in Pierce County? ValleyCom is sending an engine company strike team down there and it sounds like there is also a strike team assembling in Pierce County. Is this for flooding issues?

Firecom also just toned out an "overhead team" of a whole slew of different chiefs to Station 47-1 in Orting.

Now they're saying that they have 3 engine company strike teams in route to the Orting area.

All the extra fire resources are indeed for flooding. Most likely the resources will be for manpower and evacuation.

Units sent from Zone-3 include: E26, E33, E65, E71, E91, B18 & B61.

The "overhead team" callout would refer to getting all of the needed folks together to set up a formal Incident Command structure with all of the major positions filled - Operations, Planning, Finance and Logistics - to manage the incident. The same type of command structure that is used for wildland firefighting.

Sounds like they are setting up for the long haul.
