Tacoma East was dispatching on State... Dispatcher asked one unit "confirm you're in P25 mode?"

Pierce Co is coming in much better now. Sounds like both east and west are fully switched.

And Thurston just made the switch from analog on State Common to P25 on their area frequency. Sounds good, business as usual. I had to lock it out of all my scanners besides the 106. It's definitely gonna take some getting used to.

Excellent!

Had to reprogram our WSP scanners in the newsroom today as they were set to analog.

Olympia sounds better than Chehalis even when I'm down there. Haven't heard anything on Car 1 yet.

So is Olympia on P25 as well? The 154.92 freq?

Yep, car 1 now as well, heard an interesting discussion. "You don't sound as bad as I thought you would". "I thought this would sound worse but it will take some time getting used to". " I have to get a recording of your voice".

Yeah I was trying to do a video and the dispatcher sounds great but I can't hear most of the units from my location.

I'll post a video ASAP.

Here's a little video for everyone. It's got Lewis, Pierce, Thurston, and Car-1 all P25.

That's odd. It's playing fine on my end. Here's the original link:

Cool, thanks for verifying.

EDIT: Forgot to add. Yesterday I heard analog testing on the NLEC (155.475) and today I caught a few digital bursts on the same frequency. I was on my 346 so I'm not sure what was said.

What are the best settings for a PRO-106 for the P25 WSP frequencies using WIN500?

WSP has not gone P25 in my area yet so I can't try it out here.

I have......

Mod = AUTO

Squelch Mode = NAC

Squelch Code = Search

Is this going to work OK?
