Okay this is different. The frequency was quiet until about 1:20pm. Suddenly, I hear a beep and then several beeps and then more. It sounded like a CW identifier. I was mobile and just happen to be listening at the time. I noticed that it's off right now.

I'll try to capture this audio and see if it decodes. Hopefully, it'll happen again tomorrow.

The Zetron 38A tone panels have a feature called "Tone Reservation" or something similar. It will beep over the air if someone comes up on a "Reserved Tone".

Possibly something like that?

I'm now hearing a steady tone. Full quieting signal at my place in DT Bellevue. It's definitely not a standard 1950 or 2175 tone you'd hear from a voting receiver or anything like that.

There are some farm products, remote control sprinkler controls ect... that sound similar to that... Wonder if someone is using GMRS freqs for such a device??
