I still hear both districts toned out on 'the one nine oh' (154.190/107.2). I can't hear the Skykomish units, can't personally verify they transmit 107.2.

(For clarification re some earlier posts, "Eastside Fire and Rescue" aka EFR, has fire trucks, and "Eastside Communications"/NORCOM has phones and dispatch consoles - they're not the same people at all. And EPSCA provides radio services...)

And that was going to be my next question. There a website for Eastside Communications?

Station 291 (Snoq Pass) is a good example of this. You may hear them dispatched on 800 but I think that would only happen if there is a unit on the 800 system that is also dispatched to the call and even then it's not simulcasted; it gets dispatched separately since 154.190 is still dispatched by a dispatcher but the rest of the 800 system is now that automated fuss.

To add, Snoqualmie Pass should still have a tac channel on 154.085, with a PL of 107.2

I might be wrong here, let me know! I thought Bellevue Fire was dispatched by Eastside but has its own dedicated dispatch TG and is Simulcasted on the other Dispatch TG. You here that Robot Chic dispatching on one TG and a real voice on the other?

Bellevue Fire is Dispatched by Eastside Communications (Soon to be NORCOM). All the Eastside Communications Fire user-agencies are dispatched on TG FDISP-1 *and* a conventional frequency for station alerting/voice pagers. They are assigned tactical talkgroups based on the call, but are rarely assigned a dedicated TG (unless it's a large incident).

The "Robotic Chick" only works on the 800mhz talkgroup. They still have to voice-dispatch on the conventional frequency. When Alpha Paging starts to be implemented, the voice paging (by a person) will likely go away altogether.

T68 is right. The robot woman voice is Locution (http://www.locution.com). Locution is broadcast on FDISP1 on the trunked system. The stations also are having Locution installed in them to use for station alerting. Essentially there's a computer in the station that receives a signal from the dispatch center, sets off the bells and lights, and broadcasts the woman's voice in the station over the speakers. It's separate from the radio system.

There may be different rules for the eastside departments that operate exclusively on VHF (Snoq. Pass, Skykomish), however. I suspect that they may still have human-voiced dispatches even after alpha paging and locution is fully implemented.

Also I think the MSU in Bellevue at Station 2 is a Medical Support Unit (i.e. Mass Casualty Unit), not marine support.

Fire Tac 8 is typically used to run calls on Snoqualmie Pass. I'm not sure if this is a full time patch to a VHF channel, Snoq Fire uses 800MHz on Tac 8, or if it's only when Bellevue units are sent too.

I doubt the patch is full-time, but's it's definitely their standard choice.

Bellevue Fire themselves rarely get called, rather it's an EFR engine or aid unit (mutual aid as the purely volunteer SnoqPass FD could be short-handed or delayed) or a medic unit (which are only based in the flatlands). Either way, they usually come from North Bend (87 or Medic 3) as that's closest.

Yup yup. The times I remember it in use were for medics being sent to the summit and for brush fires along I-90. For brush fires you could also see Tac-8 and 154.1900 get patched to 153.8300 Firecom/Rednet for mutual aid with USFS and if they really wanted to, WSP.
