Don't forget that all of the WS-DOT low band channels are still licensed and active in remote areas. They also remain as an emergency back-up to the 800 mhz radio system. ( 47.02, 47.10, 47.20 and 47.24 )

I usually keep a home channel or two programmed which may require one to switch over to a locked out status channel,to hear the rest of the traffic, since it acts like a control channel, but still carries voice traffic for my location, anyway.

Same thing down here, status channel is always first assigned. Then status switches to another channel while primary status channel is used for voice.

They have not rebanded the 866-869 channels down here yet, however they did reband the 851-854 channels about a year or so ago.
