yes, it's probably a misprint in the e-mail that was sent out concerning the changes 154.0335 it's probably 154.0325 for both RX & TX i just copied an printed on here, and 154.0325 an the freq in question ( 154.0335 ) they are both 5 watts, simplex, what you heard should hopfully be the new reapeater system coming into use, we have one repeater thats at sequim the one at state patrol is for the new system an the one for the ocean should be for the new system as well, other then that it's pretty much line of sight to hit the repeater in sequim, there are times we have to hold up the radios an walk around like with a stupid cell phone to talk to dispatch, the new system will allow us better comms, i can't even pick anything up on my pager in wally world in P.A outside of wally world no problem..

No Problem. 8)

Truthfully - OPSCAN is up and going now. A bug here and there but the county is using it.

Once everyone is fully trained and has some experience with the various features things should start really happening.

I probably should say up and going to me means things are switched on. Whether or not anyone has told to use various features I dont know.

Do you guys (CCFD#3) have the new Opscan channels programmed in yet?

Aren't the increments for VHF NB, 7.5 khz (half of 15 khz) where as the increments on UHF are 12.5 khz (new increments 6.25 khz)

Thanks in advance!

In programming the radio, our choices are 25kHz 20 and 12.5

For wideband we use the 25kHz setting due to the fact that we are allowed 5kHz +/- deviation on our frequency. For narrow band we are allowed 2.5kHz +/- and get this using the 12.5kHz setting.

While this (25kHz) has the potential to cause issues with 15kHz channel spacing its not nearly as bad as being on a split channel narrow while next to someone using the adjacent channel wide... We could and probably should go 20kHz on wide band systems generally speaking but we have no problems yet that we know of.

But its due to the programming options I have that I referred to it as 12.5kHz
