Anyone know what channels they're on? Was listening tonight, didn't get a whiff of them on the air but they did a pursuit. Heard all the KCSOs helping on KC North, but the snoqualmie 800Mhz Talkgroups were silent...

I last confirmed them in January; I happened to pick up primary on Seattle Simo but they don't roam there very often. Try the KC/VC instead--851.8125

Almost exclusively on KC/VC, 28336. Rarely they'll patch to Issaquah so one dispatcher can work both when it's not busy.

I also heard this last night as well. I caught comms on KCSO Northeast Tg. They were asking for a dog for tracking. and also asked about "Guardian-1" sounded like they were in pursuit of a subject but I also flipped over to Snoqualmie units but those Tg's were dead. i never heard anyhting about this on those Tg's. Strange as i had recently heard them on the air with regular comms on those Snoqualmie Tg's.

yup they are on the published primary and Tac are on the trunk KC/VC as mentioned
T2 is a local repeater separate radio

There is a defunked T3 that was on the trunk my website is down at the moment due to a f'u' by qwest but when its back my radio files have the old no longer in use TGID for it.

disp. is out of issaquah as mentioned will sometimes patch with them
they will also rarely patch with David units on KC for car chases and deaths that end out there.

the TIG that are in the databases are correct.

I keep up on this department ;)

you will hear when transport to KCJ commonly or to south county PD a lot of "interesting people" end up in the far part of the county.

and obviously the smartzone will pick them up then drop later on.

Yea, tonight suddenly they were popping up on eastside trunk like they usually do for me, I've added them to my normal KCPD listening bank and sure enough they were popping up there as well. (but not at the same time as when they were showing up on eastside trunk sites).

Sigh.

If you can run Trunker, you'll be able to see where they've moved to during an incident.

yes again, they can hit multiple sites due to traveling west on 90 for prisoner transports and helping out KC down past the falls (which give you smartzone to EPSCA and Seattle)

They also contract out work with WSP to do extra patrols on 90 so with all that moving around you might hear them jump systems every now and then for smartzone

I have never seen this and I spend quite a bit of time in the I-90 corridor during the summer.

Is it actually a contract and not just, boredom?

don't know what to tell you, just because you haven't seen this don't mean its not true.

homework shows that your a Dispatcher so I would assume that your not on issaquah/KC. I have no idea of WSP workings so I don't know if this is information spread in the departments there. But if you are a dispatcher I'm sure you are aware that no officer would just up and leave a city to do state work because they are "bored" nor would they go OT on state work because they had nothing else better to do that day. Unions don't take kindly to volunteer work.

also looks like you enjoy the outdoors, thus I can assume that your a frequent driver in the area you might not be driving during the extra emphasis patrol times. or just not notice the car that isn't white. mind you that SPD owns other wagons then just the logo cruiser.
