Another thing no one mentioned was you take away 1/3rd of the firefighters away from helping the patients because they have to put on a vest and fill IMS Command Positions:

Actually, most of the line firefighters are not going to fill ICS positions. The company officer of the first arriving unit will indeed establish command of the incident, but typically they will pass it over to the first arriving BC.

Further, the MSO will fill the Medical Group Supervisor position, as will other MSO's, who will likely add themselves to the incidents. If not, one of the paramedics will fill the role of treatment and transport team leaders. However, the tranport position can be filled by any capable BC.

Yet another MCI Response today! by SFD. It seems like this is a common type of alarm for SFD. At least 3 in the last month.
