So, I had a one-day contract to receive and deliver a secure item from Tacoma to Missoula, MT today, driving there and flying back. Enroute, I noticed a strong control channel in Spokane on 172.6375. However, the PSR-500 couldn't seem to find a sysid to display. The only thing I got was the NAC- 71F.

Is this some bastard child of IWIN, or something at Fairchild? I didn't hear anything in the 406-420 or 380-400 ranges...

FYI, Missoula:

162.400- NOAA
410.100- Link to 162.400
155.610- (203.5) Missoula PD
159.315- (192.8 ) Input to 155.610
155.175- School buses
154.740- (146.2) Poss Missoula Co Sheriff
155.775- Missoula FD Disp
154.1450 (146.2) Missoula FD FireTac-2

=====================================================
The 700mhz Idaho Statewide system control channels were freaking overpowering from west of Spokane through Lookout Pass, but didn't seem to have any activity.
=====================================================
The much-anticipated Statewide VHF P25 TRS that Montana is building may have great coverage in Helena, but there still aren't ANY control channels active in Missoula, a larger city. WTF indeed...
=====================================================
Also, I couldn't get ANY IWIN stuff from the pass until that strange thing in Spokane...Nothing in ML or EB, save the EDACS UHF coming from Hanford.

155.610- MPD dispatch. Weekend nights they split the north cars and south cars at around 2100 hrs. If I remember correctly north stays on this channel.
155.175 - Beach transportation (private bus company provide transportation to almost all the area schools)
154.740 - Missoula County Sheriff's Office dispatch
155.775- MEANS- Missoula Emergency Activation Notification System. All fire, EMS and law enforcement paging for the city and county.

MCSO dispatches using incident codes. They are identical to Seattle PDs M.I.R. codes to 180. After the 180 series they differ greatly. "211" is negative wants or negative stolen depending on person or vehicle query. All calls are cleared, both city and county using "adam codes" 1-64 for disposition.

Yes, JWIN became IWIN as it's not just DOJ anymore.
