Anyone recognize WSP 132 from the Seattle area?

If that number (<300) pulls you over, you've really done something wrong because they really don't want to have to go to court. Although many years ago I guess I gave the Jeff Co Sheriff no choice when I passed him in a 50 which was just about what he was doing. Lecture and I was off.....

No, I have'nt been pulled over since the 90's.
He (132) refered to Spokane Area as 'Seattle' once or twice, plus his radio wasn't programed (I assume) for Spokane Area. He had to work off 'State' at first.
Possible a fresh promotion to an open Sgt position.

Keep in mind any number under (I believe) 299 is a sargeant and not a troop,

Actually, the "Sergeant" numbers used to go thru 299 and the "Troop" numbers started at 300. Several months back, while returning from Spokane, I heard two Troopers talking on Car - Car around Snoqualmie about some upcoming numbers changes and how the Sergeant's numbers were encroaching into the 300's now. One of them said he had a friend of his who had a 300 number and was losing it after 20+ years! They didn't say though, how far into the 300's that was going to go!

Another thing about Eastern Washington you will notice is, the Sergeants over there seem to be more working Sergeants. They aren't afraid to go out and make stops and right tickets. I used to listen to them all the time and it isn't/wasn't uncommon to hear them calling in with vehicle and drivers info for Reg/ Drivers Checks! If you ever come across 196, or he hasn't been promoted again, he used to be my neighbor and his wife used to babysit my two oldest kids.

He (132) was out last night, "enroute county with one for the test". So, yup, a working seargent. Also 132 was called out last week to help with the extra 'snow' calls.
