There is an increased presence of Border Patrol and ICE on the Olympic Penninsula; anyone have freqs for them? Do they both use 163.625mhz?

163.625 is listed as nation wide, http://www.olyham.com has that listed for out here, i've heard alittle bit of chatter on that channel that relates to the area ( example: one agent giving somebody a ride to cherry st ) , but i can't confirm it was in Port Angeles , i've been trying to find freqs for them out here with no luck, an i'm not gonna ask them for it, LoL way too much trouble there.. oh well good luck to ya, an if ya happen to come across some please share, Happy Scanning :)

Thanks; that freq gets a little confusing with it's multiple agency dispatches, but i was sure that hadn't gone over to the 'consolidated' net.

Oh
I also forgot to mention they operate in simplex mode too on 163.625 so you may or may not hear some of thier comms if they're not using the repeater.

fyi.. the RCMP (canadian pd) Air-1 helicopter has been on 163.625 too assisting in US border patrol activities the past few months in simplex mode, so you may be lucky to hear them from time to time.

ahhh it so nice that they have those wulfsberg or NAT tactical airborne radios in all police helicopters now...yeah never know who'll show up
on the radio dial.

These are the most current number assignments.

Bravo- Blaine Border Patrol Sector Staff
100-Port Angeles Border Patrol
200-Blaine Border Patrol
300-Bellingham Border Patrol
400-Lynden Border Patrol
500-Lynden Police Department
600-Sumas Police Department
700-710 Everson Police Department (they are dispatched by What-Comm, however appear on Border Patrol frequencies occasionally)
780- KAK780 Blaine Sector Dispatch
800-Blaine Police Department
Omaha XXX- AMO (air assets)

All of the above use 163.625 (Galbraith Repeater) as their primary dispatch channel with the exception of Lynden BP who uses 163.675 as their primary.

As far as ICE goes, you will on the very rare occasion hear them. They are "Alpha" units. They are on their own system, encrypted.

Hey Fellas,

Really digging this thread, good info!

Have been Living out the inverted Beverly Hillbillies inverted motif over here in Spokane for the past few months- left the city for the 'country'. A much different kinda place than I am used to. Quiet, very quiet. The kind of quiet that used to scare me.

I enjoy the board and while I know you are Westside focused, but, I would like to collaborate here in the East if you will have me.

Onward, I have been collecting info here for a couple months and here is what I have captured thus far CBP related. Anyone have any input on these channels and/or the identifiers?
Quote:
Department of Homeland Security:
Customs, Immigration, & Border Patrol

170.6250 ( ) R 166.2500? Border Patrol
170.6750 ( ) R Border Patrol Bravo Units
163.6250 (100.0) R Border Patrol Bonners Ferry/Sandpoint
162.8250 (151.4) S Immigration 'Mike' Units
163.7750 (110.9) R 'Charlie Units' (Northport Area) Launch the boat
163.6750 ( ) R Charlie units being hailed on 162.9250 which is input to this 3.675 but no R heard
162.8250

165.9750 (100.0) R Bravo Units CUSTOMS?

165.9100 (110.9) R Customs? - 'Port-2' calling 951
then asking Echo-?? to 1018 and foxtrot?? to 10-18 - no answer

The day before I saw this post, I noticed a new CBP Tahoe here and was too busy wondering just how many thousands of tax dollars Uncle Sugar had invested in the 'cow catcher' sized brush guard and winch on the business end of that vehicle.

Also amazed how far to the rear of the vehicle the lightbar was mounted- seems like it was behind the back back doors. Despite all that oogling I did not seem to notice any of the described antennas on that vehicle. Could have been there, just did not notice.

I know that Alpha-200 series in the San Diego sector were Customs Criminal Investigators ( and now part of ICE) . You would hear them most of the time doing zero-tolerance interdiction type stuff, but mostly when someone got detained at a secondary for bringing in an undeclared parrot in a spare tire or some green leafy plant material etc. 'Now how did those 15 live Parrots get in my spare tire- man! those goofy mexican tire shops are sure jokers aren't they' -see i had this flat in Ensenada and......

*ALSO*, I am trying to work thru the Fairchild AFB trunk on 138. If you happen to have a teardown or partial teardown it would be much appreciated. Have a 996 and there is not alot of P25 over here in Mayberry(so far). If anyone has any info on this system your input, via PM if you prefer, would be greatly appreciated.

Again, If any of you are seeking any Eastside information, please shoot me a PM and I will do my best.

Regards,
Mike

You may have heard "India" units, who are CBP officers, that work at the ports of entry. They were on the air after a port runner to pick up the vehicle and occupants. There aren't any "King" units on this system.

So noted flatfoot, I'll give another listen; hey Commstar, my wife and I grew up there and we still have family there. Any data you can supply would be most appreciated! I mostly listen to WSP, the SO and the fire districts south of Spookaloo.

the "KING" unit could be CBP K-9 units. You might here them once in a while, however usually they work on their own freq which is encrypted.

When I lived over there, (and I would love to be back in Mayberry again) the 163.625 freq was the primary for most of the Spokane area to include Coeur D'Alene and dispatched from the Spokane BP office on Newport Highway (aka Hiway 2). They used the 162.825 frequency in the Bonners Ferry area and, I believe, into NW Montana! That of course doesn't mean they haven't changed the configuration of the areas where the frequencies cover and/or added a few. The base designator was "760" if I remember correctly!
