I have as yet to find a Radio Shack store around here, in Washington, with
people who are knowledgable about scanners. I have only found one that actually
has scanners in stock. My local store has them once in awhile. But they don't go
out of their way to stock let alone market them . I live in Bainbridge island
Washington, near Seattle. And just before Christmas I got a ride over to near
by Silverdale to get my latest radio a Pro163. I looked around on line and found
a few stores in Seattle that had this radio.But we weren't heading in that
direction.


So a couple of questions. Does your local store stock, and market scanners? Do
they have staff that know about them?

The local RS stores in Bellingham have in stock the PRO-404, 405, 163, 164, 106, & 197.

It is easy to check which stores have stock on their web site by entering your zip code and looking at each model.

The sales people have very limited knowledge of frequencies or the operation of the scanners sorry to say.

They are cell phone salespeople it seems. :roll:
