I have this channel programmed in as one of Skagit County tactical fire frees. Over the last week I have been hearing police activity on this channel. Today at work, with little else to do, I started listening for names of streets or other landmarks. I have pinned the location to Linn County Oregon. The type of activity sounds like the sheriffs office. Is this a major skip? I can usually hear Kitsap Co. Sheriff North clearly on another Skagit tactical channel, but north central Oregon?! Anyone else experiencing this?

BTW, I'm not using anything special. Just a Radio Shack Pro-82 with its issued antenna.

We have been hearing Sublimity Oregon on the Clallam 3 fire system for a couple of weeks...

No changes on either system.

I don't believe 155.630 is a freq used in the U.S.

155.620 or 155.635 are the nearest freqs and neither of these two freqs have any licenses in WA or OR.

155.630 Has no licenses in WA or OR either.

155.6325 is a possibility. There is a 155.6325 licensed in Columbia Co Oregon for the city of Saint Helens. (WPYF664).

I believe 155.6325 is Tac 9 in Skagit Co with a pl of 151.4

Are you able to see a pl on the frequency?

Maybe that would help to ID who you are hearing.

Im hearing the 155.6325 transmission up here in Vancouver BC too....seems to be police comms from Oregon ctcss is 151.4
I only hear comms when vhf tropo ducting is good.
what ever the input frequency is to the skagit county repeater, it is also picking up the transmissions from Oregon too.
hearing both dispatch and mobile units on that freq atm...dispatcher just passed Vehical information to one of the mobile units.

To clarify what xjf said, we need to ID the Skagit repeater input frequency, then look that up in the FCC records for Oregon.

From the Skagit license, WQFB546: 153.785 154.235 154.43 154.65 154.71 154.9575 155.1375 155.6325 155.7675 155.805 155.9925 158.9175 159.015 159.15 (suspect the upper splinter freqs)

It is 155.6325 but my scanner doesn't program at those intervals.
