Heard a bit of excitement today with this second flight. Something was discovered to be out of alignment with the nose gear and they decided to abort an initial approach to Boeing field to go back out and have the chase plane look at it again. Guess that they figured that it was going to be safe enough to land but Ops said that they might not have nose wheel steering after landing and might have to be towed to the ramp. The T33 chase plane was running low on fuel and actually declared "minimum fuel" to Boeing tower as soon as the 787 touched down. He came around and landed four minutes later. Every thing worked out OK but seemed like there was some excitement there towards the end of the flight.
