Spokane County SO last night. On channel two.
Hard mounts where working, but most portables weren't getting through.
IIRC, they have a remote receive/ voter circa 1970's.
Got fixed relatively quickly.
Never heard this happen before.

Another possibility...they have mobile extenders in their cars too...one channel in their portables just reverses the frequency pairs and makes their car radio duplex for a better signal to the main repeater. I believe the tones are different for that also but not positive. When I was with the FD, we had that on the Command vehicle for the areas down in the scablands down SW around Badger/Williams/Chapman Lakes where radios didnt work real well to begin with.

Radio 'roll called' ever district, so it was county wide.
The SW is a trouble spot, the nearest high point would be Steptoe.
It's 'Old School' down there, chuck yer portable.
Are there still 'extenders'? That sounds 'CHiPs'.
