Bellingham,WA PD has a license on 460.225 and I have never heard it used here.

Today in my car I heard police related comms on this freq. PD officer running license
with dispatcher who was "Metro". I did not get the tone. I know it wasn't from Canada and see that the closest licenses are around Kitsap Co. Monitored in Bellingham. Fairly strong signal & was repeater. Dispatcher didn't give town just address & name. Don't see anything in our database.

Any ideas?

Possibly. Signal was pretty strong for me to pick it up in my car in Bellingham.
I will have to go listen some more to see if a location is mentioned. Thanks.

I also heard Red Cross on 47.420 today but no call or location was given.

I suggest it because they are well placed and lots of power/coverage. They also share MCSO and Shelton City PD.

Yeah I would say this is Mason county/ Shelton City PD

Ive monitored comms on this freq in the past when vhf condx are right and have heard the Metro c/s being used.
As for being Bellingham pd I hear them very good & readable all the time on 453.225..so if the did move to 460.225 I should hear them just as well too but seeing that I only copy comms on 460.225 when condx are good I say its Mason county on that freq.

Thanks guys. I'll try to get a tone next time and maybe that will help.

I punched that into my old PRO 2042 and just heard a call for aid to Mason General, so coming in fine N. of Monroe. Maybe they have an antenna on Buck Mtn or Gold Mtn.

PS, another call coming in from Hwy 101 and 108. Over on the Penn.

Mason County has a site on Gold Mt which would make the trip easily. Shelton does use "metro" when calling. But usually they dont use Gold Mt. and use to be simplex. Ill listen here and see if anything has changed.
