Feel lucky you guys can still listen to your police departments down in your neck of the woods.. on any type of radio/monitor.
As fast as you can say "encryption" another one or two local police departments changes to that mode up here in BC.
in no time flate the only police depts we will be monitoring will be stuff in washington state or nothing at all.
when that happens, look for some great scanner/ham or commercial transceiver deals on ebay from BC :lol:

we not suppose to be able to listen to edac provoice, encrypted or not.
but some of the rcmp detachments around here have taken a harder stance at preventing people from listening in to thier comms,its called P25 digital plus encryption :(
a new goverment mandate to protect the privacy of the innocent and the guilty ...hummmm. :puke:
