Does anyone know what the 800 Mhz freqs used by Link Light Rail? I just asked this, but forgot to add a subject line, a newbee.
Thank you for any info.

They are on the King County trunk radio system.

Here is a list of the talkgroup ID numbers used by Sound Transit rail

You'll find them on the Seattle Simulcast, the ST "tunnel" site (which can be heard in both tunnels with a tiny bit of bleed outside of them), and often on KC/VC because that's where they best affiliate in the Rainier Valley. Freqs are 868.175, 860.9625, and 851.8125.

Does anyone have suggestions for a good trunking scanner? I have two HT's for Ham radio, but neither say anything about trunking. I looked at a Bearcat BCT 8 and it was rated very good, but would still like input.
Thanks again.

Handheld or mobile/desktop?

I'd recommend anything that's rebanding compatible.

I've been happy with the GRE PSR500/600 though there are plenty of people who are equally happy with Uniden and Radio Shack scanners.
