And block radios that you don't want on the system.

Passport uses 3 ID's

ESN, MIN, TGID

ESN is embedded in the radio, and is used on power up to authorize the radio into the system. ESN authorization is an option, and not required. As I recall the ESN authorization is selected at a group level and not radio. (It's been a while)

MIN is Mobile ID Number. MIN is programmed into the radio and becomes the individual ID for the radio. MIN is what is used for select calling and ANI.

TGID is like any other system, Talk Group ID. Functionality is basically the same as any other trunk system.

One item to note on Passport TGIDs is, all customers have 1 "Primary" TGID along with however many standard TGIDs are assigned to the customer. The Primary TGID is similar to a Moneyrola ATG. If a user TX on Primary TG, then all TG's in the customer will receive. Basically an "All Call" for the customer.

LTR-Analyzer should be able to decode the LCN's of a narrowband passport system. Might be a good way to find some related frequencies.

At one time I had some notes on a few of these, but I have no idea what happened to the notes. It's pretty easy to tell which ones are using LTR just by listening.
