No. Transit patrols are referred to as just that. e.g. "Transit 17".

Interesting. I had not considered that.

I'll have to keep an ear out and listen to the radio traffic. Problem is I do not hear them on the air all that often.

If they come up on an obscure group like an events, an EPOL, some ridiculously high number Tac etc. it's mostly like them.

No. This is SCSO South. That's why I kind of question it.

However the Victor units are on there daily doing checks an whatnot. So who knows.

Based off some radio traffic I heard this morning, I'm fairly sure the "Young" unit is the deputy assigned to patrol Paine Field.
