How often? I was getting Morse every 5 minutes or so during the snow, which lead me to believe that it's a data channel.

Don't think that's the Convention Center; there's only one place that could be Suite 20--some sort of retail. I'll have to put the Convention Center on my To Do list.

The Convention Center has retail spaces in it.

I have a mole there; we'll see if he can come up with the hot info.

That Loram gig doesn't sound half bad; but the pay is shite.

They were sure yukking it up last night.

I dunno, its like being in the circus but it's harder for the bill collector or the process server to catch up with you

I knew someone who did the Sperry Rail gig, for less than a week. It was 6 days a week usually. I think the 6th day was a maintenance day and the Sunday might be at Flatwheel Jct. If you like trains it would probably be cool to be trackside. The accommodations for 2 people, were about the size of a Amtrak roomette. Watching extreme trains on the History channel, the Circus train looks fun.

Isn't this a federal freq? It isn't a marine ship to shore freq if I remember right.

I had it as a possible USCG freq.

Way back in 2007 I occasionally heard SDOT transmit weather and traffic advisory alerts over the 453.850 repeater, but no voice in quite awhile.

If I remember right, that freq may be what was mentioned in the SFD Operations Manual as Ch 7 DEM. The Battalion offices had a portable on that freq as a fallback means of citywide communications in case phones and trunk system were out of commission.

That freq used to be the Seattle Engineering Dept. Solid Waste ch, used for the transfer stations and trash hauling semi trucks.
