OK - Here we go... this from a LONG conversation with a SnoHo deputy (no I wasn't part of a call... )
Unless he goes pointing it at people its not illegal in Washington. You may open carry a firearm however the brandishing law (as I understand) reads something like once someone feels threatened it becomes illegal, holstered or not.

SO... You can open carry but 99% of the people in Western Washington will freak.

That's correct. Open carry is legal in Washington.

I was unlawfully detained and threatened with arrest for lawful behaviour, and my vehicle was unlawfully searched. I can get the audio from a FOIA request, but I figured someone here had it.. heh
