I'm getting a loud throbbing noise floor when I listen to sno-com trunk.
what is it?
I'm guessing a multipath or simulcast overlap product?

as the clip shows, it's not always the same frequency. it flanges between 10-20 times a second, my reciever was stationary.

Sounds like poor reception really. The sharpness of the static leads me to think the scanner is cutting out (something more local to the receiver).

Greg, is your scanner near a cable modem? Cable modems have incredibly high EMI and can cause interference like that.

anything with a comcast sticker will, I suffer from neighbors who dont care to help fix the issue.

It's a mobile scanner in a car, and I was stationary in the parking lot of Aurora Village Costco. it's on the Snohomish/King Co boarder on highway 99.

There wasn't much around me, I was in the north end of the parking lot with the engine off.

<shrug> pretty weird </shrug>

Nextel, or AT&T.

Quick test is to attenuate the signal, if the s/n ratio gets better your rx is getting swamped. Now figure out who....
