We've been camping last few weekends up the Mtn Loop Hwy on the Granite Falls side. FS folks say the oldtimers say this winter's snowfall is the heaviest since 1949. FS repeater on Green Mtn (across from Mt. Pilchuck) is inoperative. As of last weekend, the solar panel was said to be about six feet below the snowline. RP freq is 170.525. This has impaired comms between Verlot RS base and mobile FS personnel. They can use 170.525 simplex, however. FS law enforcement has been using the national FS law enforcement common freq due to the Green Mtn RP being inoperative. http://freqofnature.com/index.php?m=Com ... re%20Cache (this list says year 2004 so I am unsure whether there have been changes)
