Anyone have any experience with either of these scanners? I'm finally getting an upgrade for the car... but I'm thinking the BCT-15 would serve my purposes.

Seattle, EPSCA, etc. are not switching to APCO 25 any time soon, right?

Also depends on what you want to listen to. There are a number of agencies that have P25 systems in King and Pierce county.

And no, they're not switching to P25 soon. Latest I've heard is that they don't know when or what they're switching to. They could choose to screw us over and go OpenSky.

Well since my listening time is limited to the main public safety trunks, I probably don't need the P25 support - especially at a $200 difference in price. ;)

I'm also looking at getting the BCT-15 it looks like it would be a perfect scanner for this area. I'm getting it to replace my 780xlt.

I've had my BCT15 for about 18 mos. now and love it. If you are not going to monitor anything [digital], then it will be a great addition, or replacement, for your monitoring enjoyment. I listen to the Seattle/KC system here and have no issues with it and have also noticed that when I travel to Eastern Washington, the VHF systems I have programmed come in come in clearer and can hear them from a greater distance than I did when I used my Pro-2067 in the car.

Hope this helps!
