Of course we're reading it.

"Lone scannist desparately seaks new challenges in RF wasteland"

You're not too far (in prairie terms) from one of our remote sites, though I haven't been there myself in a few years. Try 111.70...

Seen this alpha'd as 'NATLAW' on USFS L/E radio.
(Yes we all know NLEC).
Also heard it referred as "National LERN". (Confusing).

I'd very nearly forgotten about response times, urban vs. rural.

We had a single-vehicle rollover today, one ejected, one pinned, truck off the road into a field (4-6 miles from my QTH, though I can see it plain as day). Dickinson Rural Rescue toned out at 0850, first unit (chief in his POV) arrived 0911, rescue unit and ambulance onscene 0916. Dunn Co Sheriff notified at 0852, still not onscene at 0919 (enroute from north of Killdeer, 30+ miles).

ETA- One red, one black patient.

Edit again- One red patient in full arrest. No second patient, someone at the scene was giving double information to dispatch. Dude hit a T-intersection at speed, flew over it and landed 200' further along in a field, rolling multiple times along the way.

Yeah, here it's SRTWR-3, simplex no PL (I added to ND Statewide on the database).

I tell the renters that come up here to POV it 30 miles to Hospital if they have a problem.
The half-drunk goofballs that call themselves a volunteer FD take 30 minutes, then Boundary Ambulance takes 30 minutes (after the tone-out, and IF anyone responds), then the the ride via ambulance is 30 minutes.
And the FD charge$.
:puke:

I know all about it. Last rotation we had a girl cut most of one finger off; I ended driving her to the hospital in town as it would've taken twice as long to get EMS to respond...Well, that and I wanted to get out for awhile
