On the eve of closing in on 7000 active radio IDs (RIDs), I did a little data parsing.
Pafford EMS alone accounts for 733 of my logged RIDs...Unfortunately, that doesn't account for another 131 unknown EMS RIDs (talking on the statewide MedCom channel, aka HEARS).
I have exactly 1900 totally unknowns in the list as well; I'd say federal government users probably account for at least 50% of that number.
I've logged just north of 1000 talkgroups, looking at really only 3 sites regularly. A user 70 miles north of me is nearing 3000 from a two-site simulcast cell.
Someone who would actually know once told me there are about 15000 talkgroups on MSWIN, I tend to believe it.
