Fatal fires are bad enough but when you loose a couple of kids it tends to put a knot in your guts. The only fatality (fire) I was on when I was active was about 20 years ago north of town. When we rolled in the house was fully involved and partially collapsed. I knew the guy from going to school with his sons. I asked the chief if he was there after we knocked the fire down and he answered with a "yeah". Hopefully they get this house from this latest fire torn down ASAP, it's something I'd rather not have to look at when I drive by there on a regular basis.
