WINDY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED NEAR THE CASCADES FRI NIGHT
Description Windy Conditions are Expected Across Much of Western washington
Late Saturday Afternoon and Saturday Night
A Low Pressure System will Develop Off the Northern California
Coast Friday Night then Move Inland Across Western washington Late
Saturday Afternoon Into Saturday Night. There is Some Uncertainty
Concerning How Deep the Low will Get, How Quickly It will Be
Weakening As It Moves Inland, and What the Storms Wind Field Will
Look Like. However, It Does Appear That It will Get Windy Across
Portions of Western washington Friday Night and Saturday Night.
Increasing Easterly Flow Ahead of this Low will Likely Give
Locally Windy Conditions to Areas near the West Slopes of The
Cascades Friday Night. at this Time It Appears That Locations East
of Interstate 405 in the Central Portion of the Puget Sound
Lowlands will See East winds 20 to 30 MPH with Some Gusts to 45
MPH for a Few Hours Friday Night.
Windy Weather will Likely Overspread Much of Western washington
Late Saturday Afternoon and Saturday Night As the Low Moves
Inland. at this Time It Appears That winds Across Much of Western
washington will Reach 20 to 30 MPH with Gusts to 45 MPH. but If
The Low Gets a Little Stronger Than Currently Expected, Some
Locations May See damaging winds.
The National Weather Service will be Monitoring the Development Of
this Low Pressure System. if It Becomes Stronger Than
Expected, We will Issue High Wind Watches or Warnings As Needed.
Please Monitor Latest Weather Forecasts.
