Looks like NWCN is a bit confuzzed. The deal at 93rd/Bridgeport was a possible suspect vehicle found unoccupied... and not the correct one

The radio traffic would seem to suggest the conclusion drawn by NWCN as
to the status of the shot trooper however

And it was only minutes ago that a "media call" came into Cencom...

Took them long enough...

I actually heard the traffic stop being made  :(

This story is more accurate. The trooper perished.

Roger... BEEP! WSP now knows sorta where everyone is

"Behind the abandoned house we have been having problems with"

This could get interesting...

Back to the radios and a snack...

Even on the high 2 meter antenna, can't hear the portables up there worth a darn... Now if a friend of mine didn't go to bed at 0200.... He has scanners, antennas, etc. and lives a half-mile away....

Now they are looking for FLIR equipped aircraft... Sounds like one of the WSP planes may be enroute...

Morning news loops coming up with video of the scene...

Media finally done :horse:

but obviously the investigation continues. Two vehicles towed from the scene of the suspect vehicle abandonment location.

Good on the mods for getting the logo modified

The problem I see with the WSP jumping onto the IWN bandwagon is that the County officer first on the scene stopped and checked because he had overheard the "not answering status" (on the WSP area frequency) and checked... This would not be possible with one's comms encrypted... Something to think about

KIRO seems to think there was a 15 minute delay between the status check and the KCSO officer response but it was far less than that based on what "I" heard...

All the agencies involved will have a difficult job ahead and my thoughts and prayers are with them.

Following some intriguing voice radio traffic, a dispatch of aid units to a location, the release of Smokey 3 and the securing of the command post, KIRO now reports the "person of interest" in the shooting of the WSP trooper was discovered, shot, believed from a self-inflicted gunshot wound... Prior to all this I could hear an aircraft in tight circles Southwest from my home QTH... and at least three motor vehicle collisions occurring
on Westbound SR 16 near the scene of the shooting :? :? :?

The media :horse: continues... :puke:
