I know him from a previous Mountianeers class in snow shoeing. Hope he makes it out ok. |

Sorry to hear Icom1020. The article claims the party was "well-prepared" but I don't understand why climbers go without a radio and/or cell phone to call for help... |

He was retired Special Forces I believe. I think he knew the risks and had done this multiple times so his number was up. My roommate had just hiked with him this year. I guess if they were hiking down to summon help they didn't have a phone or radio. Not sure if it would of helped. |
