Post subject:  Official: Bahamas police catch 'Barefoot Bandit'
NASSAU, Bahamas -- Police in the Bahamas say they have caught the teenage U.S. fugitive known as the "Barefoot Bandit."

A police official says 19-year-old Colton Harris-Moore was arrested Sunday morning on the northern island of Eleuthera. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

The official said police expect to fly Harris-Moore within hours from Eleuthera to Nassau, the capital of the island chain off the Florida coast.

Good !!!!! Does anyone have a list of radio channels for the Royal Bahamas Police Force ??? Now if we could only muzzle the media and his mother -- who claims Colton is a genius, life would be almost perfect again !!

Hope they write a book about him and make a movie and then the courts see that all the royalties go to pay all the people who's property the "Genius" stole of destroyed.

Jim has a good point.
That charge seems to be working with the scum that assisted the Lakewood PD killer.

I think the trick is to PROVE she aided, and thet takes some real evidence.
Phone calls, testimony, etc...
May be tough with this one.

I think it's more likely he was aided by his huge following. I really started to think this when I heard that in the Bahamas, he approached people asking for help to get off the island. As if he was counting on there to be loyal followers there too. Which ended up being his demise because they turned him in. He also stands out there... cause he's 6'6" and white.

I can completely see someone from around here saying "sure, I'll help you escape". Makes me want to blame his followers for enabling 2yrs of fugitive status than to give credit to the kid for being able to elude for that long all by himself.


EDIT: I also think it's a load of crap that his mom can profit on his crimes.
