Suspect hit, in custody.
Preliminary media reports susp fired on responding officers.

Edit: Susp deceased.
Family called in fear for life.
Susp hid behind fence, fired on officers/deputies on approach.
(Agency border).

Nothing beats target practice with morning coffee followed by three days off.
(Suspect had lengthy history so no problem with jokes).
