ok I found a few hours and wrote a paging/alert app:

http://interceptradio.com/alerts.php

The only thing we need now is volunteers who are interesting in sending out pages for their area.

I set it up so we can add as many areas as necessary, and people can subscribe up to 5 of them.

This is fresh off the press (finished it about 5 minutes ago) so it will probably need more work.

Cool. Is western washington going to be the only option. That was all I saw available.

I can create as many groups as people want once we have volunteers who are interested in sending out the alerts.

Try clearing your browser cookies. I'm not able to make that error happen on my browser.

Pretty cool... Is there a "test" function? Will we be able to select which type of alerts we receive?

How do I unsubscribe if this makes me want to gouge my eyes out?

Done. You'll now see the option to send a page.

Just go to the alerts page and select "--None--" as the area you want to get pages from (which is the default).
...or simply blank out the box where it asks the email address to receive alerts.

Right now the only "test" is to join an alert group and wait for a page/email.

You can subscribe to a maximum of 5 alert groups. I suppose its up to each alert group as to what type of alerts they want to send. We can always create more groups if there is a specific need.

It comes from whoever volunteers to send the messages. Perhaps I should change the message header to show who sent it ?
