That was basically it....I really did hear "65 Av. S." over the radio, but whoever said it was pretty excited at the time.

Good Job, Rich...it works.

Brad.

Rich,

Can you hijack the alerts and copy them to a forum thread automatically or display them somehow on the site?

I guess that brings up another question:

Do the people who subscribe to these alerts expect a continuous flow of information about what's going on?

Or, just a quick notice that an event is happening, with some location/Talk Group/Frequency details (so you can tune in yourself)?

I would *prefer* that it be just a notification of an event - it's up to the individual to tune in and listen for themselves. A constant slew of messages on an event would get annoying quickly.

That's just me, though....

Brad.

2nd that, I would only say if MAJOR change thinking about the gunners that shot at I-5 a while back then later there was a altercation at a house.

Incident #: 09-431648

Spokane Valley Officers Involved in Shooting
On December 27, 2009 at 3:45pm, Spokane Valley patrol officers responded to the 11700 block of East Fairview on a report of a suicidal male. When they arrived on scene, the officers were able to establish verbal contact with the 55 year old man inside the residence.
The suspect told officers that he wanted to hurt himself and claimed to have a handgun. At one point, the suspect confronted officers in the back yard. Just before 4:30pm, the suspect exited the front door of the residence armed with a weapon and confronted officers. The officers fired their duty weapons, striking the suspect.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. The officers were not injured.
Spokane Police Department detectives are leading the investigation per the Critical Incident Protocol. City detectives work side by side with Valley detectives to complete the investigation.
